We went online to find out all the Black Friday deals. Last year on BF, we went to OfficeMax to get some CD cases and we were only gonna be gone twenty minutes. We noticed that there was a lot of people there (since we never have noticed an overwhelming amount of people at Officemax) shopping. We found out that it was Black Friday and that there was these great deals of free stuff! We decided to go to all the other big stores like Circuit City and Staples to get free stuff there. (which took two hours) We got $300 dollars worth of free junk (and non-junk like a shredder) Our “game plan” was pretty poor since we missed out on some of the good free stuff (since other shoppers scoped ‘em out first) so this year we’re preparing. This guy made a website that shows all the Black Friday deals. He scanned in the coupon newsletters ‘n everything so people will know what to look for and where to look for it. That’s what we did. We’re gonna wake up at 5:00AM (usually when most kids go to bed) and hit Circuit City first (they have a extremely cheap 200GB hard drive and Sienfeld: Season 5 which I might want to get since they never show any episodes from that season on TV [at least on Friday and Saturday when I watch it)
We’re also gonna hit Circuit City, OfficeMax and Radio Shack but I’ll tell you the details later.

In March, I bought the RAIDMAX Scorpio ATX-868 case. It’s been working great and it has these pretty little lights in the front and on the side that light up and make it look . . . pretty. Anyway, now the blue power LED light has failed. The blue light has been working fine until last week when it died. I wrote the company (Raidmax) and asked them if it was possible to get the LED replaced or fixed?
They wrote back and said I could buy a new door (since the lights are on a door in the front that opens up to reveal the power button and drives). They sent me a link to get a new door but the link sent me to the home page. I looked all over and I couldn’t find a single door. If you’ve got time on your hands (and I’m guessing you do or else you wouldn’t be reading this), you can go to buyraidmax and try to find it for me. Good luck!

We were gonna play on the mall today but yesterday, Luke wore out his voice playing on the mall and he couldn’t sing. Plus, he just got over a cold so that didn’t help at all. I got over a cold too and my voice ain’t very loud to begin with so I was just as worthless.

At 7:30, we went down to the beach to do Yoga and Tai Chi. After that, we were thinking of going down to Ideals and getting breakfast but we only had ten dollars so we were heading to our bikes to ride home. While we were walking to our bikes, we thought maybe we could just get some cocoa there or something so we went in. At the resturaunt, we ordered the drinks (cocoa and coffee) and the lady put us on a no-tax table since we were just ordering drinks. The funny thing about that is we didn’t actually move to a new No-Tax table, we just sat where we sat.
Anyway, after that we went home. At home, I went to Amazon and checked to see where my bike was (with the tracking number). It read “Nov 16, 2005 – 06:46:00 AM (even though it was 10:00) – SANTA CRUZ CA US – Out for delivery”. Just when I read the “Out for delivery” part, I heard a knock on the door. I went down and sure enough, it was UPS with the bike! Woah! That was almost spooky (in a good way). It was in a box with the order reciept on it. When I opened that box, I saw another box inside that the actual bike inside (’cause the box had the trademarked Mongoose label on it. When I took it out, there was printing that read, “Do Not Place On Side.” It would’ve been neat if they put that on the outer box so I knew that before I unknowingly put it on it’s side. Oh well, no damage was done. Since some assembly was required and volleyball started in ten minutes, I started working on it right away ’cause I thought that I could get it done in time to ride it to volleyball. five minutes later, I knew there was no chance of getting it done right in timeso I stopped it and left on my old bike.
When I got home, I finished it up. It sure was spiffy! There was a few mistakes that I made which I changed (like when I attached the handlebar piece on the fork/tube piece, the fork/tube piece was backward. In other words, the back wheel was foward and the front wheel was backward). After I made the adjustments, I got on it and jumped up and down (from my seat) to test out the shocks. The shocks seemed very spongy but then Luke reminded me that I needed to fill up the tires a bit more (they were pre-filled half way). After I fill it up, I rode out of the house. I thought I could ride down the stairs (’cause of the good shocks) but I carried it down. I test drove it around the block. I wasn’t wearing a helmet and I was afraid a cop might come by and ticket me so I couldn’t fully enjoy the ride. When I got back, I got a helmet and enjoyed it. Boy, the shocks are really good when riding off the curb onto the street. It was great to feel the spongy absorbiness of the shocks going off the curb rather than the jarring feeling with the old un-shocked bike.
What’s also good about that bike is I can switch gears. I mean with my old bike, I could switch gears but I never did ’cause I correctly set it to the only gear where it wouldn’t click (’cause if it wasn’t set right, it would make this clicking sound). So in the driveway, I set it to the 3rd gear and popped a mean wheelie which I haven’t done for many years (with my old mountain bike). It’ll be fun slamming on the brakes in the dirt but I can’t do that for the first thirteen miles ’cause I gotta let the brakes get a little used first.

When I came home from volleyball today, Luke told me to meet him in his “office” in the attic. I went up there and we talked business. He said that he would take my nForce 3 motherboard and CPU and I would take his new nForce 4 motherboard and buy a new prossesor. Since I would probably upgrade my video card sooner than Luke, he said that I should have the PCI Express motherboard (the nForce4) and since he would have an AGP motherboard (mine), he would be rather open to buying my video card. I agreed to that (since the new motherboard could be the SLI for a couple more bucks) but I knew what Luke’s denifition of a sale is, dirt cheap or no deal. Since I bought the card for $200, I said he could buy it for $100. He declined. I said that was reasonable and than he said he’d take it for $50. I thought that was insane so since I was at my computer at the time, I IMed a computerlogical friend of mine to see what he thought of the deal. He thought $50 was good so I thanked him and signed off IM) by that time, Luke lowered the selling price to 20 bucks! I thought that was a slap in the face (in a very light mood, I mean it wasn’t a hurtful SITF (slap in the face), but a light “. . . like, dude. . . hellooo!?” SITF) and I thought that it could only go lower so I stopped right there. . . for obvious reasons. Survivor was on.
