Staff of Near-Death

We drove to the store called Staff of Life which is a store that has kinda healthy stuff in bulk and that’s where we always get our Ghirardelli cocoa powder (which we get in bulk). Ma went into the store while I waited in the car listening to the rain beat on the window pane.

As I waited I saw this lady go into the car in front of me and turned on the car and started to go backwards. I was thinking “Lady! Hellllooooo!?” Fortunately, she stopped and went forward. A few minutes later, this Volvo came up and went in reverse pretty fast and I felt like she was gonna run into us! (of course, I just had some homemade chocolate waffles that day so everything seemed a little . . . fast) fortunately, she stopped just in time. Just then, I thought about switching our car insurance to Geicko!

Costco Rush

We went to Costco today but it was just sooo crowded. We entered through the Exit (counter-intuitive eh? Well, we had to return some ughs and we have to go through the Exit to do that) and the was like going against the current of shoppers. Even when we were down the isles, it was like going against the current ’cause people were on the wrong side of the isle! It was like a combination of european and american drivers in one Costco!

Plus, with all the crowds, the free food was *ffftt.* Whenever any sample was put out, they all swooped in like vultures to get it. I managed to snag a waffle soaked in fake (but relatively good) maple (flavored) syrup but that was it. I noticed that everybody steered away from the salad sample kiosk.

Fawlty Towers

I got the Fawlty Towers DVD (digitally Re-Mastered) set from the library. The interviews are neat. I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t say the interesting bits from the interviews or the outtakes.

Anyway, it’s the perfect stocking stuffer if you have feet like a dutch clown.

How was your day? Did you have a good day? I hope you had a nice day!

Brr. . .

Whooo. It was cold this morning! in the 50s! Of course, this is Santa Cruz and everybody here is a little spoiled by the weather.
