Wowee! It’s been non-stop rain here in sunny Santa Cruz. It’s been just pouring. It’s been cold too so needless to say, my pickling cucumbers have died. When I put my nForce4 Computer together, it was really coming down and I was afraid that the power might go out while I’m installing the drivers. Fortunately, it didn’t. When we went to Karate, it was really pouring and we could just hear the rain beating on the roof of the building. I think it would be fun to practice Karate in the rain . . . at least once. I mean it would be really hard to move around in the wet heavy gi (and not to mention heavy) but it would still be interesting.
When we got back home, we watched Survivor and it was raining. It was nice to have it rain all day. For the past couple days, it’s been raining at night so we couldn’t hear it (well, I couldn’t since I was sound asleep).
In his autobio Funakoshi writes of practicing karate outside during hurricanes…we cant even get half the class to show up during a light sprinkle…thats what seperates the good from the great…
