Tools

The tools I ordered from Woodcraft came today. The saw case had “Samurai” written on it which seemed a little hokey but the saw blade was good. I tried using it. The Ryoba saw worked really well and cut through the wood like a hot knife through a cube of lard.

The little saw however, took some getting used to. It was real sharp but flimsy. I was sawing though some wood with it and I accidentally . . . did something but the blade bent at a 42 degree angle! That was rich. I mean it wouldn’t have been as bad if it had happeneded to the Ryoba saw ’cause we already have one of those but to bend the small saw, the one I need the most, that was bad. I put the saw in the vise and tightened it down. Fortunately, the saw straighted up a bit. Not enough, but a bit. I tightened it down and bent it in different areas and I finally got it straight again.
