We finally had some thunderstorms! Yesterday, the power went out a few times and I saw the sky turn blue a few times. It was lightning. I didn’t hear any thunder. Well, today we had ourselves a good ol’ thunderstorm! We haven’t had a good thunderstorm here in a long time.
The thunder must have been from the lightning I saw yesterday!

At around 10:43, the mail truck rang the bell . . . Well, the guy driving the mail truck rang the bell and left quite a few packages. First, there was our new and improved songbooks from Lulu . It turned out really good. . . except the front cover looked a little bit horrible. Just a tad. Of course, that was our fault ’cause we sent in a bad picture to be used for the front cover. Other than that, it turned out very good.
Also, Cashflow arrived! It was in very good condition. The pieces were kinda strewn around the box but that was ’cause of shipping. They slipped out of the bags. After putting them back in and wrapping up the money, I put it back in order. I took a little read of the instructions. Whooboy! They were simple! It was just understanding it was the hard part. Fortunetaly, I kenw a bit of the financial lingo and they had a little dictionary of the words in the back of the instruction book. It’s gonna be a little tricky to find the time ’cause I mean we barely find the time to play Monopoly but Cashflow isn’t just a boardgame, it’s an educational boardgame! If we view it as something to do to learn the basics of the rich (if you know what I mean) and finances, we’ll find the time. I mean it’s important!

Now, I’m not what you would call a Classical Music Junkie or anything like that but I do like a few classical songs. For example. Little Fugue in G Minor or Hungarian Rhapsody #2. Yeah, that’s pretty much it.
Anyway, I’ve noticed something with classical songs. As with most classical songs I’ve heard, they go well over 7 minutes. They are good in the beginning few minutes but then, to me, it appears that the composer’s (let’s say Flist) imagination kinda wanes. Either that or he has too much imagination. Let’s take Hungarian Rhapsody #2 (which you can find a midi file of it online). I like the beginning a lot. Mainly ’cause it’s minor. Well, halfway through the song, it get’s all crazy, there isn’t much melody anymore and it just becomes a lot of noise. And believe me, my musical endurance/appreciation is heavens higher than anybody I know. (I mean who else likes Traditional Bluegrass, semi-Traditional Blues, Traditional Japanese, Traditional Greek, Traditional Russian, Traditional Turkish, Traditional Arabic [but let's leave politics out of this] Traditional Chinese, Traditional Celtic-ish, and a tad of Traditional Classical?) But just when it get’s to be a whole mess and it’s just fast and outta key in all, I kinda want to skip ahead in the song. It’s seems kinda nerotic/crazy/schizophrenatic. I guess that’s why I’m not a big fan of Gypsy Jazz (the Django kind). I mean it’s a little bit better when the fiddle is playing the notes but when Luke’s just strumming all the keys without any melody, it’s just a bunch of noise. I think of a nut house in a music box when I hear it! (I don’t really know how that makes sense but you get the idea) I mean how does that even sound good?
Of course, I also like Tsugaru which is like that but at least there is melody and a pattern in the music and it’s also Traditional.

Now, if you’ve read this blog as much as I have, you’d know that I use a lot of dot-dot-dots. What I don’t understand is that when you’re inserting a “…,” the dots need to have a space in between ‘em. but why? What difference does is make? Does it signify a whole different meaning when you don’t put in the spaces? I mean, years ago when I did that (I didn’t do it very much but I did it here and there), I didn’t put any spaces. Now, I use the three dots a lot more and I put spaces in between. I don’t know why. Maybe the periods are claustrophobic and they need some space.
Of course, I’m taking the California High School Exit Exam and I’m gonna show ‘em a thing or two in the writing test.

When I see ants crawling all over the kitchen, I know it’s spring/summer. That sorta stuff doesn’t happen in winter.
Just when I was getting used to winter, along came summer!
But actually, it’s starting to rain and is getting mighty chilly here so the ants have left . . . for a while.
