An Ideal Lunch

Today, we did a bit of garden work today. I pruned the tree by the pond, a bit of another and then planted some lettuce. Afterwards, I was in the mood for a sandwich. A BLP to be specific (Baco-bit [fakin' bacin] Lettuce, Pepper sandwich with mustard, ketchup and cheese). As I was going into the kitchen to make it, I thought some pretzels would go great with it. At that moment, Pa pointed to the bacon fat in the skillet (from when we cooked bacon last week [bacon fat lasts a long time]) and asked me what I wanted to do with it. I just thought then, chips would be good with a sandwich! So with the hardly used mandoline, I cut up a small potato and fried away! They turned out mighty nice and crispy!

After I got those done, I thought that this meal is too good not to have a nice refreshing sparkling lemonade with it. So I got a sparkling mineral water from downstairs, a few lemons, and with salt, sugar and ice, I had a nice refreshing beverage. . . and I hadn’t even made the sandwich yet! After I made the sandwich, I decided that this meal is too good to spare any cents on it so I got my 5 month old maple prolliene (I’m not sure how it’s spelled but it’s a nutty creamy cookie) that I’ve been saving for a special meal since Kwizzmas (Kwanza, Christmas. Must stay politically korrect). When I got it all together and laid a nice pickle on the side with it, I just thought, “self, that is a work of art! Quick! I must get the camera before the froth from the sparkling lemonade dissipates.”

It was, ah! The. . . best! It was about an hour ago since I’ve eaten it, I haven’t brushed my teeth yet in order to keep the flavor in my mouth for as long as possible, and my mouth is watering just from looking at that picture.

Ok, time to go brush up.
