Street Musician Documentary

We played on the mall today. Made 103 bucks . . . in 3 hours (which isn’t as impressive when the time is involved). Here’s the thing, some cheap, sour wiseguy threw in 63 pennies! Boy that made me a little peeved (’cause I was the one who had to count it). I mean it’s a little annoying getting a couple pennies thrown in the case (almost like throwing in a used tissue) but 63 pennies is a direct insult! I mean who does something like that!? Do they feel good that they are giving money or is it a practical joke? I mean throwing in pennies is like, what’s the point? If you want your tips and money to be fully appreciated by the performer, don’t throw in pennies. . . please. Even nickels or dimes is better.

Aaannnyywayy, there was this documentary crew in town doing a film on street musicians in California. We happened to be playing and they were there so they filmed us! Imagine! We’ll be on TV! We’re gonna be on TV! Just think . . . wow!
