anyhoo, I also get comments about going barefoot, especially “aren’t you feet cold ?” I usually respond with “no, not at all”. what did they think was cold ? 65 degrees and sunny. If my feet were cold I’d wear shoes. It is also funny how many people think going barefoot into stores is against the law, which it isn’t.

Like you I haven’t had any fungus, infections or ick from going barefoot and going barefoot helps keep my feet strong and healthy. Also contrary to popular myth, going barefoot doesn’t lead to fallen/flat arches. I have really high arches.
